(L-R) Mayor Jun, Vicky D Chua, and Leonard Buenavista shared the head table. Mayor Jun spoke first, covering the importance of education for his headliner and immediately followed by the acknowledgment of the great program being offered by SAS Ai to young, bright, promising Tagudin youth who come from needy and poor families.

In his speech, Leonard introduced and congratulated the winner of the SAS Ai scholarship award from Bimmanga, Maria Cristina Javier and her family (see photo below). He also emphasized the ongoing parental responsibilities to their scholar and what they can expect from SAS Ai.

Mr. Emma Javier could not contain her joy. Mr. Florentino's facial expression says it all - that of the concerned parent, perhaps thinking about his daughter's future and the tremendous financial burden that education puts on his shoulders. But there is a glimmer of hope in his smile just about to burst into jubilant laughter. The real reading of the occasion is written on Cristina's face... that quiet joy knowing that she is going to be a scholar.
